HHS Center can still offer you the chance to participate in our Au Pair programs. We think it is a great way to continue your study of Chinese, give you a better understanding of Chinese culture and a chance to see other parts of the country.

We realise that your needs are different to those for people who have never visited China, so we would like to offer you programs especially tailored to your needs. As you are already used to China, we have stripped out the parts of our general service package that we do not think will be of use to you, but left the parts that could be important during your stay:

 

- Free room and board with free internet access

 

There are two options available each has different benefits:

 

If you have already studied some Chinese then this is a great way to build on those foundations; first with lessons and then staying with a Chinese family, learning from them.

- Free language classes

- At most 20 hours a week teaching your host family English, or other household tasks

- At least 600 RMB a month so that you can explore on your own

 

If you have previous childcare experience and want to spend longer in China, then this program is a great affordable way of extending your stay to soak up the culture, and pick up some of the language.

- At most 35 hours a week childcare and teaching English to the host family

-1200 RMB a month, so that you can make the most of your free time

 

Requirements
-18-29 years old
- Native/Fluent English, some knowledge of Chinese is useful, but not necessary

- Good state of health

- If you are applying for the childcare option you should be able to provide childcare  references
